Aerol designs and manufactures premium casters, running gear, and ground support solutions shaped by decades of work alongside military, aviation, and aerospace teams for mission critical applications. We’ve spent our careers solving a strategic problem that’s rarely simple in practice: moving heavy, sensitive, assets smoothly, safely and repeatably.

Aerol products are built for mobility. You’ll find us in aerospace, aviation, and all branches of the U.S. military, including naval shipyards, air bases, ground support operations, and situations where corrosion, shock, debris, and weather combine to wreak havoc on “commercial-grade” mobility products.

The Aerol advantage is that our equipment is engineered for longevity, not replacement cycles. Aerol caster systems are known for staying in service for decades, often 20–30 years or more, with minimal maintenance. And because we design our assemblies for serviceability, components can be easily replaced rather than scrapping an entire unit. That means lower lifecycle cost, fewer surprises, and equipment that stays mission-ready longer.

In addition, our heavy-duty industrial casters are produced to meet demanding military specifications (including standards such as MIL-C-4751, MS24373, MS27281, MS27149, MS24374, and MIL-C-7474) and can be configured with features like:

• Load capacity up to 35,000 lbs. per caster
• Sealed swivel sections standard, with optional sealed wheel hubs for added environmental protection
• Shock & vibration performance aligned to MIL-STD-810 shock requirements (up to 30G)
• Temperature performance from -40°F to +160°F
• Safety controls such as total locks, deadman brakes, swivel locks, wheel brakes, toe guards
• Spark-proof / conductive configurations using fully conductive rubber wheels and aluminum/stainless frames (NFPA 77 compliant)
• Compliance and traceability needs supported through programs aligned with items like AS9100D, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-130, DFARS, and UID requirements

One of Aerol’s defining advantages is the inherent corrosion resistance of our aluminum castings. They offer superior protection against rust and degradation in marine and weather-exposed environments where painted or coated alternatives can be compromised over time. Aerol aluminum casters are also preferred for their high tensile strength and uniform sectional properties.

When the situation calls for a lower profile, our Running Gear allows otherwise immobile assets to be moved and directed safely and efficiently — especially trailers and mobile ground equipment used in aviation and defense operations.
  • Engineered for longevity, not replacement cycles, Aerol mobility systems stay mission-ready longer with lower lifecycle cost and minimal maintenance.

Because these applications demand tight tolerances and repeatable performance, Aerol developed running gear designed around what depot managers, OEM engineers, and military engineering teams consistently need:

• Adaptability across trailer configurations and load ranges
• Straightforward installation and maintenance
• Low-profile geometry for aircraft storage where space is limited
• Interchangeable components to reduce spares and simplify logistics
• Effective shock absorption to protect valuable equipment

Two proven examples, the S.A.M. Ground Support Running Gear and BANJO Mount, reflect that philosophy. Their low-profile designs support storage in limited cargo space and improve maneuverability under aircraft wings, with component parts engineered for interchangeability across left/right and front/rear positions.

Aerol mobility systems are designed and built in Michigan, backed by American manufacturing experience and built for environments where equipment can’t fail. Our decades of experience in the material handling field have launched numerous innovations to enable our customers to move both delicate and demanding equipment safely and efficiently.
